The Mamusa Local Municipality (MLM), within the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District in the North West Province offers a number of investment opportunies. The municipality comprises the towns Schweizer-Reneke and Amalia. The types of economic activities include agriculture, development of a mall, fuel stations, manufacturing and agri-processing.
Mamusa local municipality has the potential to accommodate additional trade space of between 2 000m² and 15 000m² over the next 15 to 20 years. Trade types to be developed include wholesale and retail trade, catering and accommodation as well as automotive trade.

Parking requirements reflect a demand for 894 parking bays and parking infrastructure and landscaping cost will be approximately R100 112 492.
Industrial demand modelling reflected a demand for between 0.45 ha and 3ha over the next 15 to 20 years. An industrial development with a size of 14 435m² will require a capital investment of R64 957 391 and create approximately 412 employment opportunities.
Parking facility requirements will be for 289 parking bays. Parking infrastructure and landscaping cost will be R5 254 331.
Demand modelling for residential potential in the Mamusa local municipality reflected a demand for an additional 750 residential units over the next 15 to 20 years.
The land available is not serviced. There are three options used by the municipality for land distribution:
