Terrasol (Pty) Ltd, is a company that focuses on investing in geothermal and renewable energy projects in Africa.

Terrasol has secured investment opportunities in a number of African countries including South Africa, Kenya and Malawi.

The company currently has a 30MW geothermal project as an investment opportunity; this initiative has been made possible by Kenya’s Geothermal Development Company (GDC).

The GDC will provide steam supply through the steam sales agreement to the project plant.

The Independent Power Producer (IPP) will be issued on a 25-year build-own-operate (BOO) basis. Terrasol is in the process of priming the bidding of the 30MW BOO.

The 30MW BOO will offer a turnkey solution through an agreement with leading geothermal technology suppliers, a Kenyan civil engineering company and a highly experienced geothermal consulting company will be the project manager and operator.

The company requires a co-investor for the project, the capital required is US$75million.

Terrasol is open to negotiating equity and long-term debt with the investor. The project will offer the investor a return on investment (ROI) of 18% over a 20-year period, with a three-year grace period from investment. The loan repayment period is negotiable and will be between 15-20 years.

Individuals or companies interested in investing in this project are encouraged to respond to this opportunity.
